Information regarding Procredit’s privacy practices:

This document describes Procredit’s policy regarding standard information collected in normal web site usage as well as information you provide when you visit our web site. The amount and type of information received depends on how you use our site.

Your Consent:

In providing ProCredit with your personal information, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure and retention of that information by ProCredit and any other associates of the ProCredit Group (affiliated partners, service providers, Lenders, Employees and other related partners that we may work with from time to time) in accordance with this Privacy Policy and as permitted by applicable law. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and on sensible notice to ProCredit, however you may not be able to move forward with your planned requests, requirements or dealings with the ProCredit Group or otherwise obtain the full benefit of ProCredit Group’s products and services.

Your Personal Information:

In our Privacy Policy, “personal information” refers to information about an identifiable individual, such as an individual’s name and email address social insurance number, however it does not include (to the extent permitted by law) information that is publicly obtainable in a telephone directory or business contact information that allows an individual to be reached at a place of commerce.

Location of Personal Information:

ProCredit and its affiliates, Lenders, Employees and service providers may handle, save and utilize your personal information at buildings in different countries, including Canada. The personal information laws of those other countries may be unlike the laws of the jurisdiction in which you live, and may allow courts, government, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies and security authorities to access your personal information without notice. In supplying your personal information to a ProCredit Company, you agree to the assignment of the personal information to buildings situated in different countries and the handling and storage of the personal information at those buildings.

Retention of Personal Information:

ProCredit Group maintains your personal information for the time reasonably required for the commitments set out or discussed in this Privacy Policy and to obey Procredit’s legal responsibilities or implement or defend ProCredit Group’s legal rights, or a longer timeframe necessary or needed by applicable law. ProCredit Group will erase or properly dispose of your personal information when ProCredit Group is no longer sensibly required to maintain the information for the reasons set out or referred to in ProCredit’s Privacy Policy.

Protection of Your Information:

ProCredit Group uses realistic safety measures in regards to the protection of your personal information; this includes administrative, physical, electronic, security and safeguarding measures all to help guard the information from any unapproved contact, gathering, usage, release, removal or comparable dangers. However, security threats cannot be fully eradicated and ProCredit Group cannot promise that your personal information will not be used, revealed or removed in ways not already explained in this Privacy Policy.

Credit Reports:

When you apply with ProCredit and provide your personal information, or utilize selected products or services from a ProCredit Company, the ProCredit Company may obtain your credit score and related information from a credit reporting agency to process or satisfy any such transactions, and the ProCredit Company may also use the credit score and associated information to update your confidential profile for use by ProCredit Group as noted in this Privacy Policy. You also recognize and approve that any dealers or other personnel or organizations to which we have disclosed your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, may request a credit report for any valid purpose related to your application [for credit, extending credit, modifying the terms of your credit agreement, your request to purchasing a vehicle, or collection on your account.]

Information Regarding Referred Transactions:

If a ProCredit Company refers you to an independent business (e.g. an independent car dealer, lender or service provider) for a proposed transaction (e.g. a car purchase, loan, referral etc), then the ProCredit Company may collect from that independent business information regarding the business deal to update your confidential profile for use by ProCredit Group as set out in this Privacy Policy. By providing your Personal Information, you approve the transfer of your information.
